DESCRIPTION:
Reproduction Ansonia Clock Co., "Jupiter" crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in a glazed brass case flanked by cut glass columns, two-piece white porcelain dial with blued steel hands, all surmounted by an urn finial.
CONDITION:
The brass case parts are in good condition and have taken on a medium-dark patina. Flat and convex beveled glasses are in good condition as are the two cut glass columns. Some of the feet are installed upside down, but this is easy to fix. Unsigned round movement. Dial bears the Ansonia trademark. This faithful reproduction has the appearance of great age.
